Business Process Automation for Gujarat's Industrial Businesses

Gujarat's industrial base is unusually broad — chemicals in Ankleshwar and Vapi, engineering in Rajkot, ceramics in Morbi, textiles in Surat, pharmaceuticals around Ahmedabad and Vadodara. Different products, and remarkably consistent operational problems.

  • Based in Surat, working with companies across Gujarat
  • On-site process mapping anywhere in the state
  • Support in English, Hindi and Gujarati
  • On-premise or cloud deployment, depending on plant connectivity

Why this is different here

What we see repeatedly in plants around here

Specific rather than flattering. If none of this describes your operation, this is probably not the right page for you.
  • 01

Scale arrived faster than the systems did

A great many Gujarat manufacturers grew substantially over the last two decades while their operational record-keeping stayed where it started — registers, spreadsheets and the knowledge of a few long-serving people. The result is a business running at a size its processes were never designed for.

  • 02

Compliance pressure from customers, not just regulators

Supplying pharmaceutical, automotive or export customers increasingly means producing evidence: batch records, traceability, inspection history, approval trails. Companies that cannot produce that evidence quickly lose business to ones that can — regardless of whether their product is better.

  • 03

Multi-unit groups with no comparable view

It is common here for one family group to run three or four units, sometimes in different industries. Each keeps its own records in its own way, so comparing them is a manual exercise — and without comparability, a practice that works at one unit never reaches the others.

What we build

The work companies here ask us for

Listed in roughly the order it tends to be valuable, which is not the order it tends to be asked for.
  • 01Approval and authority workflows

Purchase, expense, production, deviation and HR approvals with routing by value and category, delegation for absence, escalation clocks and a record of every decision.

  • 02Replacing the spreadsheet that runs the business

The workbook everyone depends on becomes a multi-user system with permissions, validation, history and reporting — keeping the operational logic it encoded over years and losing the fragility.

  • 03Digital forms at the point of work

Gate entry, material receipt, in-process checks, maintenance logs and shift handovers captured where they happen on a tablet or phone, with validation that prevents the mistakes each role actually makes.

  • 04Audit trails and evidence

Who did what, when, and what changed — so a customer audit or a quality investigation becomes a query rather than a project.

  • 05Multi-unit consolidation

Separate books and stock per unit, shared masters, inter-unit transfers as real movements, and management reporting across units on one set of definitions.

How it works

From operational chaos to a connected business system

Five steps, in this order, every time. The first two produce no software at all — and they are the ones that decide whether the software will be used.
  1. 01

    Understand

We sit with each department and learn the process as it is actually run — including the workarounds, the informal exceptions and the things people do because the official way does not work. This is where most of the value of the project is decided.

You getA written map of your current processes, departments and bottlenecks

    1–2 weeks

  2. 02

    Map

We trace how information moves between people, departments and systems: where it is created, where it is re-entered, where it is lost, and where a decision waits on something nobody can see. The re-entry points are almost always the expensive ones.

You getAn information flow map, with every handoff and duplication marked

    1–2 weeks

  3. 03

    Design

We design the target workflow — owners, rules, gates, automations and the screens each role needs — and agree it with the people who will live in it. We also agree what we are deliberately not building yet, and say so plainly.

You getA workflow design, screen list and phased build plan with scope you have signed off

    2–3 weeks

  4. 04

    Build

We build in phases, so one department is genuinely using something early rather than waiting for a full system. Each phase is delivered, tested with real data and put into use before the next begins — which is also how the awkward details get found while they are still cheap.

You getWorking software in real use, phase by phase, with integrations and reports

Phased, typically 4–12 weeks per phase

  5. 05

    Optimize

After go-live we look at what is actually being used, which alerts are being acted on and which are being ignored, where people are still keeping a parallel sheet, and what the data now reveals that nobody could see before. Then we improve it.

You getUsage review, workflow refinements, new reports and ongoing support

Why Nij Web Solutions

We don't start with software. We start with your process.

Six positions we hold consistently. Two of them occasionally cost us a project, which is roughly how you can tell they are real.
  • Process first

We map the workflow before we write software. If we find a step that should be removed rather than digitised, we say so — digitising waste just makes it faster.

  • Custom built

The system is designed around your process, your identifiers and your definitions. Where a package would genuinely serve you better, we will tell you that instead of building.

  • Operations focused

We work in the vocabulary of departments, approvals, lots, shifts and dispatch. You should not have to translate your business into software terms for us.

  • Automation first

Before adding a screen we ask whether a person needs to be involved at all. The best workflow step is the one nobody has to perform.

  • Data visibility

Every project is judged on whether management can see something it could not see before — and whether the number can be traced to the transaction behind it.

  • Scalable systems

Built for the second plant, the tenth user role and the process change you have not had yet. Configuration over code, documented and handover-ready.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure whether your processes are a fit? Walk us through one of them.

Which parts of Gujarat do you work in?

Across the state. We are based in Surat, so South Gujarat is easiest for frequent on-site work, but process mapping sessions anywhere in Gujarat are straightforward and the build, review and support phases work remotely without difficulty.

We run three units in different industries. Can one system cover them?

Usually yes at the platform level and no at the process level, which is the right answer. Shared masters, shared user management and consolidated reporting across units; genuinely different operational workflows per unit, because a ceramics line and a chemical plant do not run the same way.

Our customers audit us. Will this help?

Substantially, because most audit difficulty comes from records being reconstructed rather than contemporaneous. When the record is produced by the work as it happens, with an audit trail on changes, what an auditor asks for becomes a query instead of a fortnight of preparation.

Do you only work with manufacturers?

Mostly, plus logistics, warehousing and construction. The qualifying characteristic is physical operations with multiple departments — if your business is entirely office-based, we are probably not the right fit and would say so.

Next step

Your business has a process. Let's turn it into a system.

From manual workflows and disconnected departments to connected operations, automated processes and real-time visibility.
